Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and APP LABS LLC for Fixly. They cover what you may do with the app, what we promise, and what we don't.

  • Effective 7 September 2026
  • Version 1.0
  • APP LABS LLC · United States

The short version

  • You buy one license, once, and it covers up to five of your own computers on macOS and Windows.
  • The license is yours to keep, including future updates. There is no subscription.
  • Fixly processes your text on your own machine, so we never receive it and never take any rights in it.
  • Don't resell the license, share the key publicly, or take the software apart to redistribute it.
  • The software is provided as-is, and our liability is capped at what you paid.

Who we are

Fixly is made and sold by APP LABS LLC, a limited liability company registered in the United States (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at info@fixly.cc.

These terms apply when you download, install, activate or use Fixly, and when you buy a license for it. If you don't agree with them, don't install or use the app.

The license you get

When you buy Fixly you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to install and use the app for your own purposes, personal or commercial.

Devices
Up to five computers that you own or control. macOS and Windows both count against the same five, and one purchase covers both platforms.
Term
Perpetual. The version you have keeps working; we can't switch it off remotely.
Updates
Included at no extra cost for as long as we publish them. We don't promise updates forever, or that any particular feature will keep existing.
Trial
Fixly runs for a seven-day trial before it asks for a license key. The trial is offered as-is and can be changed or withdrawn for future downloads.

You may move a license between your own machines. The app's device management page lets you free a slot when you replace a computer.

What you may not do

  • Sell, sublicense, rent, lease or otherwise transfer your license key to anyone else.
  • Publish or share your license key, or use one key across an organization as a way of avoiding per-person purchases.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction.
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trade mark or licensing notice.
  • Redistribute the app, modified or unmodified, or bundle it into another product.
  • Circumvent the trial period, the license check, or the device limit.

If you break these rules we may deactivate the license. Where we do, and the breach was not deliberate, we'll tell you first and give you a reasonable chance to put it right.

Your text stays yours

Fixly runs its language model locally on your computer. The text you select, correct, rewrite or translate is not transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we never see it.

We claim no ownership of and no license over anything you write or anything Fixly produces from it. What you do with the output is entirely your business, and your responsibility. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail of what does and does not leave your machine.

Accuracy and your own judgement

Fixly is an automated writing tool. Like any language model it can misread intent, change meaning, introduce errors, or translate something incorrectly — and it can do so confidently.

Read what it gives you back before you rely on it. Don't use Fixly as the only check on text where a mistake would be costly: legal, medical, financial, safety-critical or contractual writing. You are responsible for anything you send, publish or sign.

Third parties in the loop

A few things around the app — but never the text you process — involve other companies:

  • Lemon Squeezy is our merchant of record. They take the payment, handle sales tax and VAT, and issue the license key. Their own terms apply to the transaction itself.
  • The one-time setup download comes from a third-party model host. That download is subject to that host's terms, and the model it delivers carries its own open-source license, which the app shows you.
  • Updates are checked and downloaded from our release host.

We are not responsible for the availability or the conduct of these services.

Price and payment

Fixly costs a one-time $9.99, in US dollars. Taxes may be added at checkout depending on where you are, and are shown before you pay. We can change the price for future purchases; a change never affects a license you've already bought.

Refunds are covered by the separate Refund Policy.

Warranty disclaimer

Fixly is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that its output will be accurate or suitable for any purpose, or that it will run on any particular hardware or future operating system release.

Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion of implied warranties. Where that's the case, the exclusions above apply only as far as the law allows, and your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or business interruption, arising out of or connected with Fixly — even if we were told such damages were possible.

Our total liability for any claim relating to Fixly is limited to the amount you actually paid for your license.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Fixly and uninstall it at any time. We may terminate the license if you materially breach these terms, as described above. On termination you must stop using the app and remove it from your machines; the sections on your text, warranties, liability and governing law survive.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms — for example when the app gains a feature that needs describing, or when the law changes. The current version always lives at this address, with its effective date at the top. Continuing to use Fixly after a change means you accept the updated terms. If a change materially reduces your rights, and you don't accept it, your remedy is to stop using the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in California have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory law of your own country.
